Some Poems & Promises by Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

The message has always been the same. We are the ones who have forgotten. The religion is one and humanity has a common source. Over time, messengers and religious forms change. This confuses people.

The Light is the binding force of the universe and is the mother and father of us all. It is the great river from which we all came. On the surface, the river’s water shifts due to changing currents and wind. Yet, beneath the surface the water remains calm and tranquil.

In this age, people are frightened and searching for something to help ease their fear and unite them. It is there, but we have forgotten to go deep and embrace our common spiritual heritage.

Within each, the Light is waiting to bring us home and illume the darkness.

_____________

The River

Before the Word was written, it was inscribed
On the hearts of men with a Divine Pen.

The stars and all the heavens sing His Story.
The lands and all the waters proclaim His Glory.

He sent Moses and this Book was the first.
For the Jewish people a Golden Verse.

The River has flowed and always will,
Feeding the forest and caressing the hill.

He sent Jesus with His Message of Love,
And humanity killed this beautiful Dove.

The River is One wherever it flows.
The direction it takes only He Knows.

He sent Mohammed Who was the Seal.
He taught us all to Bow and Kneel.

We shall journey the River to every stream,
And humanity will live this wondrous dream.

It is promised the Dove shall return,
And in every heart the Light will again burn.

Everyone will experience the parts of Whole,
And journey the River to the Divine Soul.

One Response to Some Poems & Promises by Dr. Stewart Bitkoff

    ABOARD, at a ship’s helm,
A young steersman, steering with care.

A bell through fog on a sea-coast dolefully ringing,
An ocean-bell–O a warning bell, rock’d by the waves.

O you give good notice indeed, you bell by the sea-reefs ringing,
Ringing, ringing, to warn the ship from its wreck-place.

For, as on the alert, O steersman, you mind the bell’s admonition,
The bows turn,–the freighted ship, tacking, speeds away under her
    gray sails,
The beautiful and noble ship, with all her precious wealth, speeds
    away gaily and safe.

But O the ship, the immortal ship! O ship aboard the ship! 10
O ship of the body–ship of the soul–voyaging, voyaging, voyaging.
