I was sent this by a fellow dervish and thought to share, it is  from the book:  DOORKEEPER OF THE HEART:  VERSIONS OF RABI’A

“I set up house for You in my heart
As a Friend that I could talk with.
Gave my body to someone else
Who wanted to embrace it.
This body, all in all, is good enough for embracing –
But the Friend who lives in my house
Is the lover of my Heart.”
