A Poem of Ibn Arabi sung and put to music

February 27, 2011

The whole world  knows the famous poem of Ibn Arabi. I thought I would put it here for you having been put to music and sung.  Enjoy

Wonder,
A garden among the flames!

My heart can take on any form:
A meadow for gazelles,
A cloister for monks,
For the idols, sacred ground,
Ka’ba for the circling pilgrim,
The tables of the Torah,
The scrolls of the Quran.

My creed is Love;
Wherever its caravan turns along the way,
That is my belief,
My faith.

One Response to A Poem of Ibn Arabi sung and put to music

    Thank your for a beautiful post. It was so nice to hear the singing of the poem and to see the beautiful images of Islamic influence. How can such a beautiful poem and song to A;;h (swt) be haram, as some say? I am sure Allah (swt) is pleased with this beautiful gift.
